Our 316 (external) Grade Stainless Steel tube to glass self-closing mounting hinge is great for creating glass gates and doorways within glass balustrade systems both internally and externally. Available to fit 42.4mm tube, it will accommodate glass panels from 8mm to 12mm thickness by adjusting the grip of the fastening bolt. This tube to glass self-closing gate hinge is suitable for 8mm to 12mm glass. This price reflects a pair of hinges (2 in total).
The number of hinges required will depend on your application, but generally we recommend two hinges for a 1100mm tall hinged gate post. Gate panels should not be wider than 1000mm for the safety and longevity of your balustrade. Any wider and your posts may start to lean. The self-closing strength can be increased/decreased by adjusting the pin within the hinge. This is a great feature for those who have children and need to ensure the area remains closed.
