Glass Balustrade Project in Huddersfield

Origin Architectural recently supplied this stunning glass balustrade for a lovely customer in Huddersfield. The customer wanted a glass balustrade and privacy screen for their new balcony – we were happy to help.

This customer opted for a 10mm toughened glass for their posts and handrail system and glass panel with a Sandblasted effect to create a privacy screen. This customer opted for a Cesario Glass Balustrade using 316-grade stainless steel which is more durable and suitable for outdoors. For the privacy screen, we created bespoke posts suitable to the height of the privacy screens and added a tube saddle so the handrail fitted perfectly without disrupting the look.

This customer was unclear about the measurements for his balustrade so we worked with him to specify the metal work he needed, including the bespoke posts, handrail, and handrail components such as; the handrail corner and end caps. We recommended installing the posts first and then coming back to us once the installation was complete to confirm the final glass measurements to ensure the glass balustrade fitted perfectly. He did this by measuring the inside of the post to the inside of the post and deducted 40mm. This gives an 8mm tolerance.

The products used for this glass balustrade were; end post, mid-post, 10mm grey tint glass and a 316 stainless steel handrail, 10mm toughened glass and sandblasted toughened glass.
