Origin Architectural recently supplied this beautiful Cesario balustrade for a customer in Bury St Edmunds. Bury St Edmunds is a historic market, cathedral town and civil parish in Suffolk, England.
A Glass Balustrade is an extremely modern and popular solution for plenty of applications. For many years now glass balustrading acts as a safe, secure, and minimal look. In particular, the use of glass balustrades on balcony areas has been prevalent because of the safety benefits of glass balustrading coupled with the aesthetic advantages a sleek, clear ‘all glass’ balustrade system can offer.
Our glass balustrades can be divided by, Posts, Channel, Othello, or Spigots. Our most popular are posts and our frameless channel system! We also offer a glass clamp in a range of sizes to suit different glass thicknesses from 6mm to 21.5mm clamps to suit a flat fixing or 42.4mm or 48.3mm tube.
Viola and Cesario are our most popular systems. Made up of 316 stainless steel and 10mm toughened glass. This system is our most cost-effective solution and can be used both internally and externally. Posts can be made bespoke to any height you desire! Just get in touch with our sales team!
Our Frameless Channel system uses a channel profile, we offer Quality fit, Flex fit, and Easy fit. Our systems are suitable for different applications, for example, our flex fit system is most suitable for uneven ground to allow for slight movement in the panels to align them on an uneven surface. The channel is anodised aluminium, and the glass can be any thickness you desire. Our most popular is 12mm toughened or 17.5mm laminated.
The Othello (stand offs) offer an alternative solution to post and frameless systems. Point fixings are typically round fixings that secure the glass via a drilled hole in the glass with a threaded screw and cap, they can be resin fixed or screw-fixed with a backplate. They require the glass to be drilled but the aesthetic benefits are worthwhile as the impact on the overall installation is minimal. Point fixings are often used in combination with post and frameless installations depending on the specific needs and requirements of a project.
